Come BUILD East Kentucky with us by supporting our program with a donation!
Looking for a meaningful service adventure this spring or summer? While many volunteers will head overseas, we offer potential volunteers an opportunity to serve in a culturally rich, beautiful area right here at home! The people of Appalachian East Kentucky are in need of affordable housing. Over 30% of our people live in poverty, and over 40% of the population in our service area (Breathitt, Knott, Leslie, and Perry Counties) are inadequately housed. That means folks are living in homes that aren't decent places to live, are overcrowded, and/or are unaffordable. We believe every family deserves a home they can afford, and with your help, we can help the thousands of families in our area in need of good, quality, affordable homes!
So, what can you do to help? Help us BUILD! Build new homes and make repairs on existing homes. The price of materials continues to rise, so a contribution from you can help us make sure the work that is needed gets done!Find out more about our Volunteer Program here: Volunteer - Housing Development Alliance (hdahome.org)
If you can't volunteer your labor, you can still be a member of our crew by donating to our program! You can donate once or set up a recurring donation at the frequency that works best for you (weekly, monthly, annually, etc.). Donating to our program means you are an integral part of the work we do, and we will keep you updated on our projects! If you have questions about donating, contact our Director of Development & Communications by calling (606) 436-0497 or email her. You can also find out more about giving on our website.
Thanks so much to all y'all for caring so much about the people of East Kentucky!
